The tennis players from Mariner Village and Tarpon cove had a surprise birthday party for Herman. Joe and Trish Galliano graciously hosted the party in their beautiful condo on a gorgeous evening. When Herman and Ruth arrived he was truly surprised. Upon seeing the birthday cake he said he was speechless because this is the first time in 90 years that he saw his name on the cake. It is hard to believe him speechless because we all have enjoyed his story telling performances. He's got the timing down pat. 
A special plaque was presented as a gift from the tennis players. It was emblazoned with his nickname "The Hermanator". Anyone who has played with Herman knows about his prowess at the net. Of course he can reach from one net-post to the other. And he has the reflexes of a teenager. On the plaque it says "MVTC Tennis Pals-You Aced It !!". He has more than aced it as a person and friend to everyone.
